However, I like it so far. Any React fans on here?
Also I just read a thing on Cycle, which seems to be similar-ish, in the uni-directional reactive sense. Is this the future of apps, or a fad?
Yea, I love React. It's the only thing I use to make views in JS anymore. Used it in a few personal projects since starting in January, and we're using it in production where I work. It's pretty fun!
Have you gotten into Flux yet?
Only gotten an intro to Flux, but it seems to make a lot of sense, for complex apps. Have you worked with it?
Yep! I came from Backbone and MVC. Compared to them, Flux is only slightly more opinionated, but SO much more scalable and reliable. Once I started using it, I able to start thinking more modularly about each problem, and things became much easier to visualize.
The uni-directional data flow feels like I have super powers, lol. Adding new functionality seems simple, instead of daunting.
I'm using Fluxxor specifically for my implementation. The docs for it are surprisingly small. And everything works as expected. I highly recommend it. http://fluxxor.com
