At the Frontend Awesome (Gainesville Front-End Developer) meetup last night, one of the demos was of a cool use of Parallax Scrolling. What we saw was very complex; so I figured that there was a nice tutorial to get me going with the basics.

note: Pardon the simplicity of this post, but after battling looking for the tutorials I felt the need to share how simple this ended up being.
Not terribly interesting, but the effect is that the background moves up at half the rate as the main content. Really a subtle eye-candy effect.
